Before we became parents, travelling to cities was easy. We automatically reached for smart little guides offering titbits of valuable information - unusual and interesting things to see, do and eat. With children part of the equation, finding this kind of content became challenging and time consuming. We wanted a city guide that ticked all the boxes. Good looking, bursting with inspiration, practical and functional, that didn’t compromise our desire to immerse ourselves in the city, and our children didn’t miss out on fun and frolics. We needed clear direction on how to find classic tourist destinations and the quirkier and lesser known hotspots used and rated by knowledgeable locals. We desired enough choice to be flexible and adaptable when need be. We wanted to know the best places to grab a quality bite along the way, as we seamlessly went from A - B. Crucially for the kids to engage with the city, not merely hop from one landmark to another.
We have set out to create a series of city guides to encourage families to visit cities, and show how wonderful, and fun, these unique and diverse urban playgrounds are.
