This hotel is special and quite unlike usual city centre hotels and certainly beats the often bland, corporate style chains. It’s perfect for those with a fondness of design hotels with personality. The 19th century mansion house oozes Parisian charm and despite being in one of the most densely populated tourist zones, feels slightly secretive, discreetly tucked away down a cobbled alley, cocooned in a walled garden, offering a peaceful  haven from the crowds. With 5 individually designed suites to choose from expect an intimate experience surrounded by lush velvets, drapes and cosy ambience. The rooms are quirky luxe, each with it’s own distinct style to suit varying tastes and preferences. An extra bed can be added to the Junior Superior Suites on request or book the large loft ‘curtain of hair’ Deluxe suite which accommodates a family of 4 nicely. The garden is a huge plus for children to relax and parents to partake a drink shaded by the bountiful greenery. Breakfasting here under the sun before a day of sightseeing is perfection and grown ups can partake in some evening fun on the pétanque court. This hotel is not one for those looking for minimalistic cool or for boisterous children as the atmosphere is one of discreet luxury, but for older kids and smaller families looking for a delightful and unique experience in Paris, it is well worth considering.
