Pinson ticks all the boxes – great food, relaxed ambiance and gorgeous décor. This hugely popular café continues it’s mission to bring fresh, vegetarian / vegan, organic meals to Parisians, expats and visitors alike. Perfect for anyone with allergies as their food is wheat and dairy free without any compromise on taste given their commitment to seasonal and local produce as the mainstay of their dishes. The brunch on Sunday is usually packed with the local cool crowd but welcomes families too, with cheerful staff on hand, although it may be an idea to go off peak when less frantic to give little ones a bit more space. For a spot of delicious nutritious lunch you can’t beat it and the coffee and cake options are equally satisfying. The set lunch menu changes daily, including starter, main and dessert. Cafe Pinson can also be found at 58 RUE DU FAUBOURG POISSONNIÈRE, 75010.

This smart little cafe has a loyal following winning Parisians over with their combination of great food and superior coffee. The owners were keen to deliver the relaxed vibe and proper coffee culture they experienced in Melbourne and HolyBelly does just that, serving up delicious grub in a laid back space. Compact and lively, you may need to arrive pronto to secure a seat, but if none are available get a coffee to go. Breakfasts are moreish and filling - the pancakes, savoury or sweet, are heaven - and lunch is healthy and fresh using local suppliers and seasonal ingredients. To keep things interesting and satisfy the locals, the menu changes each month and the weekend specials draw crowds. Kids will be happy with the egg plates served with sides such as sausage, bacon or speciality house baked beans whilst the grown ups savour the quality Belleville coffees on offer. It is an uncomplicated concept and menu and if you can get up early, we suggest you give it a go.
Holybelly are expanding with a bigger site at 5 Rue Lucien Sampaix in Spring 2017.
